I more often than not take a picture to take a memory of something that the children do or say that I'd otherwise forget. My brain's such a sieve these days that even if I intend to remember something (and command myself to remember, and say it five times aloud - things that have always worked for me) I almost always forget.
So here's an otherwise crappy picture to remind me of this, overheard from the back seat:
Lucy: A skunk. A bison. A ferret. Poopy. Duke. Things that are stinky.
Peter: A raccoon, Lucy, a raccoon is stinky too.
So the kids think Duke stinks - big surprise - but have I ever mentioned that when we visited the Triangle last summer it really did stink when we drove past the exit for Duke on 15-501?
