To escape the soul-melting heat earlier this week, I took the kids to the Little Treehouse for some good indoor play.
There was much bouncing on trampolines, flipping over bars, long games of run-and-catch, and a very extended round of pretend play involving bedrooms and breakfast - to say nothing of the fun and games upstairs, with the toys.
And look who can really start playing along! Yep, Thomas is just the right age to engage with many of the toys in the play cafe, although putting him down on the floor unguarded is a risky venture.
Some other tricks:
Thomas stands, very briefly, but it's possibly the thing he wants to do most in this world.
Peter piled up all kinds of tumbling pads into configurations that "helped him learn how to surf" and "helped him practice riding his bike."
