One of our playgroups hosted a Saturday music playdate, led by a guitar-playing dad and a basket of musical instruments to share.
So fun, yes, but mostly delicious. Lucy found her way to the snack table and descended upon the chocolate chip cookies someone brought to share. Kevin asked if we could leave once Lucy started in on her third cookie. As we left, she said, "them have fruit, too!" as if that would have stopped the cookie carnage.
All too often, Kevin will look at our life and wonder: is this the whitest thing I've ever done? On our daily rotation of NPR, CSA vegetables, teaching at a liberal arts college, this playdate may have been near the top. (That and the Little Treehouse. Don't get Kevin started on the that...)
