this child would not take a pacifier, yet now?
Lucy requested babies for preschool study, a topic which required a bit more planning than "wild animals" or "spring."
Thomas says: what is this bizzare contraption?
Then I remembered I still have bottles left over from Peter and a sampling of every pacifier my children tried and rejected. Jackpot!
(also in the box of baby stuff was a manual pump)
So yes, there was much pacifier-sucking and bottle-drinking and all sorts of stuff that just looks weird and funny. I'm tolerating it for this week only, although I think given any window of opportunity Lucy would willingly drink everything from a bottle and carry a pacifier every moment of her life.
Also, Tuesday was the Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, so what better time to bust out our dress-up clothes and put our acting chops to work? Lucy jumps at any chance to be Saint Mary, and Peter was happy to fill the role of Saint Elizabeth. Thomas was Baby Saint John the Baptist, who was a'dancing for joy when Mary knocked on her cousin's door.
And: drum circle. Why not? I'm trying to work more music in our day. Next up: weaving hemp necklaces.
