Not really, but he's the biggest Davis-Ross!
At nine months, he's 19 pounds, 10 ounces. Peter was 18 pounds, 2 ounces. Lucy was 18 pounds, 6 ounces. There's so much room for measurement error, but still: no wonder my arms ache at the end of the day. (FYI, he's only in the 29th percentile for weight. See? Not a chub.)
He's also 27 inches long, but the measurement error on that is so great he could be four feet tall for all I know. Really.
He's meeting all of his milestones, although his pincer grasp needs some work; he's grown four total teeth with two more coming in; he's a cuddly little guy who can play so very well on his own but will protest and whimper if you walk away from him.
And, he's mastered the art of sneaking in some mommy-daddy only time. It's called the 5 p.m. nap, and it does wonders for his bedtime. Tonight, it was after 9 p.m.! it's hard for us to adapt to this since we're so conditioned to children in bed at 7 p.m., but it's always cute to see his smiling little face.
(Except when he's eating paper, or crawling into the bathroom, or you're hosting your kids' birthday party in less than 48 hours. Then, not so cute.)
Other new tricks: he can give high-fives, he may have a few words (we suspect Mama and Dada and possibly hi!), he loves to watch Peter and Lucy at play, and he's figured out how to open the jack-in-the-box (hit it as hard as you can!) and the function of the light switch. Specifically, off is down and on is up. Kevin reports Thomas was mightily confused when confronted with a light switch in which off and on were flipped.
