I know I've said this before, but really, I feel like Lucy just couldn't get enough sensory activity.
I knew the combination of ice and paint would be perfect for her, especially on a hot summer day.
We tried this last year, except we'd used watercolors and the actual painting effect wasn't so great. This year I didn't mess around, and froze water and acrylic paint at a generous 1:2 ratio. (That's right: twice as much paint as water.)
She spent a bit of time painting paper before painting herself. Of particular interest lately is painting her hair. I'm surprised it's still blond with the amount of food coloring, paint, and marker that it's taken this month.
