First parking in the Frog Lot. For as often as Peter asks us to park in the Frog Lot, you'd think he'd have been more excited.
First pony ride for Thomas. He didn't cry the entire way...just 95 percent of it.
First baby orangutan hanging pees. I don't really know what to call this, except that both Thomas and Lucy had some very up-close encounters with the baby orangutan, and when Baby Batu pulled off a "hanging pee" maneuver, Lucy's eyes were as big as saucers. (I'm sure she was taking notes, too.)
While strictly not a "first," the kids continue to really enjoy the "Extinction" exhibits and activities. Lately, Peter and Lucy have been requesting to see the puppet shows, even though the puppet shows are geared toward older children (and adults) and most of the information goes right over their heads. Who cares, right? A puppet's a puppet, and they're magic.
Also a never-miss, the new show in the big cats exhibit. (If the kids knew they could watch this at home, their heads might explode!) The kids now sing along to the theme song, and Thomas dances in anticipation. At first I wasn't sure if they liked this show because the seek out all illicit media, but no, it turns out they really like it.
