In retrospect, we did pack too much in Saturday.
- farmer's market
- library
- barber shop
- post office
- pool
- baseball game.
Grammy and Poppy gave us tickets to see the Camden Riversharks for Christmas this year, and with Saturday's cooler weather we thought we'd give it a try. The kids certainly were game (ha!), and even took quick naps on the drive to New Jersey, but only lasted a few innings. Working against us: the threat of fireworks (Peter); the desire for cotton candy (Lucy); and the carousel spinning just yards from our seats (Thomas).
Campbell's Field is a great ballpark, though, with an amazingly scenic location on the Delaware River. Peter's invited our neighbor Samuel to come to the next game, and I have a feeling he'll have a blast.
Also of note: we arrived at the post office a few minutes after noon, and found it closed. Just as we were getting ready to leave, the postman came from behind his door to take our package, stamp it, and put it in the mail. I'm putting this one in the "I Love Swarthmore" file.
