I'm working on a theory which states that I can add "make butter" to any of our preschool themes and it will fit.
It's not such a stretch for our farm theme, and really, there's not enough butter in our life. Or, should I say, butter making. It's still magic, the kids still ooh and ahh as the cream changes from liquid to whipped cream and then explodes into buttermilk and butter.
They could barely wait for the butter to fully form before opening the lid to drink the buttermilk, and liberal smears of butter went atop our homemade bread.
Now, to work buttermaking into our apple theme...
