Overnight, Thomas made the transition from walk-until-I-fall-down, then-crawl to walk-until-I-fall-down, then-stand-back-up.
He still falls. A lot. But he gets back up, and it's clear that today was the day he moved from crawler to walker. (Just a few days shy of his first birthday, too!)
On the bike front, our daredevil has taken a few tremendous falls on his bike. There have been tears, skinned knees, and panicked parent runs to soothe the injured.
After every fall, however, he gets back on. There's a reason "get back on the bike" is an apt metaphor, and it not-so-secretly pleases me whenever it happens. To fall off, to fall down, to get hurt, and then to get right back on - it's no small act of courage.
(Also mastered, yesterday, was getting on the bike himself. There will be no end to the bike riding, I suspect.)
As for this one, what words are there? She lives fully in herself. There's been a change in Lucy over the past month. My hypothesis is that she's finally outgrown that nap we never let her take. Such a change in attitude! It's no small surprise that she's taken to saying "yes," extra emphasis on the "sssss."
