Zoo Balloon!
It was up and running Sunday morning, and we went 400 feet up into the sky to see Philadelphia from on high.

center city behind Kevin; Fairmont Park behind me
It was fun, no one was scared despite a few bumps at take off and landing, but I don't think the kids fully got the thrill of the balloon. Perhaps it needs to spin around or soar rapidly into the air?
Also enjoyed at the zoo: lunch with the redcap mangabey, camel rides, getting wet in the fountain, watching the silverback gorilla eat a toilet paper tube, revisiting the goats, and sitting through the "bird movie" yet again.
Not enjoyed: the mouse in the bird movie theater,* who scurried much too close to me two separate times. On the other hand, watching the mouse probably kept me from falling asleep during yet another retelling of Otis's first migration.
Oh, and this baby. Gotta love this face! I'm not sure where it comes from, but it's a keeper.
*The mouse problem at the zoo seems insane this year! I'd just asked the zoo keeper how bad it was - we'd seen several scurrying around the enclosed bird exhibit - and she'd assured me that it wasn't out of the norm. Evidence suggests otherwise.
