it was just a little cold...
Our pool membership this summer included two pools, but we only visited one. Until last week, when we floated the option of a "new pool" with a "slide that kids can use!" It was met with enthusiasm, and even though the weather left a bit to be desired (cooler, cloudy), we gave it at try.
Lucy was the first down the slide. Then, the life guard told her to take off her pool floats and it was all downhill from there.
Peter, on the other hand, couldn't get enough of the slide. He enjoyed being able to slip-slide his way down, just like Kevin, and then splash into the water.
Also on hand: some huge tree swings, lots of muddy playground space, and perhaps the fastest pool slide ever. If Kevin had been 2 years old, he would have had a tantrum when it was time to go - it was just that fun.
It was our first and only visit, made great because we were the only ones there. Hooray for not waiting in line at the slide!
